What is a Comprehensive Index?

Catalyst hosts an extensive list of indicators. To help our audience navigate them easily, we created a comprehensive index, a multi-tiered organizational system that structures indicators from broad categories (Cultural Environment, Civic Engagement, Social Connection) through subcategories (Art & Entertainment, Voter Participation, Social Associations) down to specific data- driven topics (Museums, Census Participation, Religious Diversity), allowing users to efficiently navigate and locate any metric within the dashboards.
